{lemonade}

Yesterday The Youngest came home from school with news that his friend’s family home had burned down and they had lost everything. The school had sent a paper with clothing sizes for the family and we decided to go through and see what we could help with. The Youngest wanted to do more and came up with the idea of running a lemonade stand tomorrow. He is not charging for lemonade but instead is asking for donations for the family. This morning I posted it on Facebook and thanks to donations from some of my friends, we have already started to raise money for the family. Thank you to all involved for your kindness.

{out of gas}

One of my Facebook friends posted this story, and I asked him for permission to post it here.

So today I was driving down a very busy street when on my left I caught a glimpse of a red car and a single guy trying to push and steer by himself. I immediately made a U turn and pulled over and asked if he needed help pushing. He said sure but the steering wheel was locked and it won’t turn. So I told him put the keys in and that will unlock the wheel, he did and I pushed it from the intersection.

He said he ran out of gas and would call someone. Maverik was just across the street so I told him goodbye and went into Maverik to buy a gas can to fill up for him so he didn’t have to wait. The tiny gas can was $20 with no gas lol. The cashier asks me if I ran out of gas so I say no it’s for a kid who did just across the street. Then she says she has one I can borrow. So I fill it up and go put it in his tank to which he thanks me and goes on his way.

The thing that humbles me is the fact there are awesome people like the cashier in the world who was kind enough to help out. It brought a smile to face and warmed my heart 🙂
